Challengers played a very physical game 06/24/09 night with Sunset Ministry. I know they are super physical and if I remember correctly we lost to them. I remember that before when we played, their physical play
really got into our skin and made us play differently then we were use to. This game we lost a few of our players Ray Lin, Jimmy Sun, Jacky Wan, Jason Yu. (I hope I am not missing anyone) Some of the team started to feel scared that we might not have a point or a good passer on the team and will lose because the players will become selfish and not work together. Then the game started and players started to step up. Tony Li played a great game scoring I think his *season high, Ben was a beast like usual using his athleticism to dominate, Our big men William and Henry held their own against their big men, and the guards and small forwards wow.. Colby and Herman our ROKS were a little nerves gave us a boost from the bench, Simon did great pointing, Ken’s lockdown D, Eamonn and his Brad Miller in his prime passing and Kevin even though he was tired and seemed like he is sick did great coming in an giving his all. Lastly the Coach. Like Stan Van Gundy who is so emotional but also great at figuring out lineups. Love the Bench.. Instant impact on the game. You guys pulled a win from a close game. Raining 3’s at the end, Sunset made their final push but at last couldn’t put us away. Great game and Continue to play unselfishly and you guys will go far.
FYI: Why do you guys say “FINISH IT!!!!!” in the Huddle with 20 minutes left in the game.. sorry, I just find that interesting just like how Eamonn’s team saids “GOGGLES” LOL..sorry you guys have very interesting phrases…

nice game overall. there's room for us to play to a more smooth and steady style.
meaning that we each bring what do most effective at doing, and also to see how work constantly with one and two guys who are in the game.
we need be more patient, confident, and determined in the game!!
let's keep the focus until we get it donnee or it's done!!! hehehaa... -

Yes. It's about time we have a Gold team. I've been waiting 3 years for this. Cumberland basketball has evolved so much in the past years. Growth is only one of the many aspects and areas to be proud of. Thank you all who support and believed in our players!
NB: We should get those Warriors "We Believe" signs in Gold...
I am glad I came to watch the game and cheered you guys up. It's wonderful game!
You guys played solid D and sank some free throws in crunch time. However, watch out for the lazy passes and turnovers 'cause that will bite you guys in playoffs.
Good job and keep it up. Hope I can come watch more often :D
